Montgomery County Information

As the third largest county in the state of Pennsylvania, Montgomery County’s history is full of opportunity and growth. Dating back to the late 1700s, Montgomery County began as a region that was prosperous in farms, forges and mills and depended heavily on the Philadelphia market to sell its goods. By the end of the 20th century the region became an economic engine of its own, boasting the largest population and largest job base among the counties surrounding Philadelphia.

With its pattern of economic growth, it’s no wonder Montgomery County has become a well-known region for families looking to live outside of the Philadelphia region. Mostly known for the King of Prussia Mall, Montgomery County is also known for its universities and parks, like Evansburg State Park. However, if shopping or a quiet day at the park doesn’t peak your interest below is a list of additional places to visit in Montgomery County.
